About Be the Match The Be the Match Registry helps patients who need a life-saving marrow or stem cell transplant. The program is a nation-wide registry, in which patients turn to when they are not able to find a match within their own family. Joining the registry is easy, donors need to be between the ages of 18 and 60 and be in general good health. It only takes 10 minutes for a donor to register the day of the drive. The donor will complete a health questionnaire and give a cheak swab which will be added to the national registry.
